Renowned for design and product innovation, Sliders (UK) is constantly looking to develop its products and, through an exhaustive testing programme, identified improvements that could be made to the locking mechanism on its bi-fold doors to make them even more secure.

The company has now manufactured the doors with revolutionary high-security hardware and locking mechanism, which includes bespoke high-security locking points, low-level keep plates and the option of including high-security hardware on all sashes – further strengthening the doors and improving all round weather performance. Master doors are now fitted with Fuhr hook locks and Kitemarked anti-bump cylinders with a Hoppe Tokyo PAS24 handle as standard. In addition, unlike other PVC-U bi-fold doors that have the folding sashes locked only with rollers or mushroom cams, all the sashes on the ULTIMATE doors are locked with hook locks. This makes them very secure as well as having excellent sealing compression, which is a problem with other PVC-U doors.

The result is a composite aluminium/PVC bi-folding door which is so secure that the guarantee covers the homeowner in the event that, if the door is broken into by any other means than breaking the glass, the company will pay for repair or replacement – and give the homeowner £500 for their inconvenience.
