2002

Sliders UK started to trade with eight employees, based in a 5,500 sq ft industrial unit.

2003

The company achieved a first year sales turnover of £860,000 and grew to 12 employees, producing 80 patio door units per week.

2004

Annual sales turnover increased yet again to £1.5million, with 18 employees in an 11,000 sq ft unit and producing 150 patio door units per week.

2004

Sliders UK were finalists at the Glassex Awards.

2005

The company’s sales turnover increased to £2.6million, and the team grew to 25 employees. The company worked out of a 16,500 sq ft unit and produced 200 patio door units per week.

2006

Sliders UK’s sales turnover increased to £3.2million, while increased demand led to the recruitment of 13 new members of staff. By late 2006, 38 employees were working in a 22,000 sq ft industrial unit to produce 280 patio door units per week.

2007

The company’s year-on-year growth continued, achieving a sales turnover of £3.6million, with 44 employees producing 350 patio door units per week.

Sliders were approached by PVCu systems company Veka to fabricate their new vertical sliding sash window system.

2008

In early 2008 Sliders UK moved to a 40,000 sq foot factory unit.

The company’s version of the Duraflex patio door became the only in-line patio door to meet the current requirements of the BBA. Sliders UK also became BBA accredited for their manufacture of the Duraflex in-line patio door.

The company further enhanced the security of the door with bespoke engineered components produced in conjunction with hardware partners Winlock Security and MI Products and successfully tested the door to become the first and only patio door endorsed by Secured By Design.

Bi-folding doors become the latest addition to the Sliders range of niche fenestration products.
